Matching Jacket and Pant Sets for Brands and Clubs
A tracksuit sells as a set, so the jacket and pant have to match in color, hand and proportion. We make zip-up and pullover tracksuits in 300 to 400 GSM fleece, French terry and velour, cut together from the same dye lot and finished with embroidery, print or tackle twill. Minimum order is 50 sets.
- 300 to 400 GSM fleece and terry
- Jacket and pant dyed together
- Zip, pullover and track-jacket cuts
- Minimum 50 sets
Why a tracksuit needs to be engineered as a pair
The most common complaint about cheap tracksuits is mismatch. When a jacket and pant are cut from different rolls, the shade shifts and the buyer sees it. We cut both pieces from one dye lot, then check each set against a swatch before packing. The same applies to rib trims, zip tapes and drawcords.
Fabric choice defines the look. Brushed-back fleece at 320 to 400 GSM gives a thick, warm, streetwear feel. French terry at 300 to 340 GSM is lighter, with loops on the inside for a smoother outside face and better all-season wear. Velour and tricot at 250 to 300 GSM create the classic retro track look with a sheen. Cotton-polyester blends of 80/20 or 60/40 limit shrinkage and pilling.
Cuts range from relaxed street fits to slim sport fits. Jackets can have a full zip, half zip or pullover pattern with a stand collar or hood. Pants come with straight, tapered or flared legs, elastic and drawcord waists, and ankle cuffs or open hems. We can add side panels, piping and contrast zipper pullers. Fit samples are made on a standard size run so you can judge grading before bulk.

Construction details in our tracksuits
Matched zip and trims
Zippers, pullers, drawcords and eyelets are specified in matching or contrast color. We use YKK-grade metal or nylon coil zips, with lock sliders so a zip stays closed when the wearer is moving.
Taping and piping
Side stripes, collar taping and sleeve piping give the track look. We sew them flat with a clean edge, and match tape colors to the garment dye lot, so contrasts look intentional.
Ribbed cuffs and hems
2×2 or 1×1 rib cuffs with elastane keep their shape after washing. Waistbands use a covered elastic with a flat drawcord and internal tape to avoid twisting and digging in.
Pocket engineering
Jackets have zipped hand pockets and optional inner pockets. Pants have deep side pockets with bar tacking at the openings, and optional zipped back pockets for phones or keys.
Decorating a tracksuit set
Tell us your quantity, colors, decoration and target date. We reply with a quote, a mockup and a sample plan, usually within one working day.
Chest and sleeve embroidery
A left-chest logo, sleeve badge and back-neck name are the standard embroidery positions. We digitize for fleece with a topping layer, so stitches sit on top of the pile without sinking in. Pant leg logos use a smaller version of the mark.
Screen print and DTF graphics
Larger back or leg graphics are printed with water-based inks or DTF transfers, depending on color count. On velour, we recommend embroidery or a heat transfer rather than direct print because the pile can distort ink.
Tackle twill lettering
Team names, numbers and city labels in twill give a varsity feel and last through years of washing. We cut the letters on a laser and stitch them down with a zigzag edge, which suits club and school sets.
Custom labels and set tags
A woven neck label, a printed size tag and a set hang-tag make a tracksuit feel like a retail product. We attach the label inside the collar, and can add a care label that carries your brand name and fabric content.
Who orders this
Tracksuits sell in two directions: lifestyle brands treat them as a hero product, and clubs use them as travel and warm-up kit. Gyms, schools and corporate teams also order them for uniforms and event staff.
- Streetwear and athleisure brands launching hero sets
- Football and athletics clubs outfitting squads
- Schools and academies issuing travel kit
- Gyms and fitness studios equipping trainers
- Corporate teams ordering event and staff uniforms
Care & durability
Wash tracksuits at 30 degrees inside out with similar colors, and tumble dry on low. Fleece and velour pile should not be ironed. Avoid fabric softener, which reduces the brushed feel of fleece over time.
Pre-shrunk fabric and bar-tacked pocket stress points help sets stay in shape. We run a shrinkage test on the dye lot before cutting, so the jacket and pant keep their proportions after laundering.
Tracksuit questions answered
Straight answers to the questions buyers ask us most. Anything missing? Send an inquiry and we will reply within one business day.
Can I sell the jacket and pant separately?
Yes. We pack them as a set by default, but you can order separate quantities. Because both pieces share a dye lot, they will match if bought together later, though new dye lots may vary slightly, so we suggest reserving stock.
Which fabric is best for year-round wear?
French terry at 300 to 340 GSM is the most flexible. It is warm enough for cool weather and breathes in mild conditions. Fleece at 360 GSM and above suits winter markets, while velour is a style-driven choice.
How do you handle size grading across a set?
We grade the jacket and pant on separate size charts but check the pair on a fit model. Standard sizes run XS to 3XL, and we can adjust length and rise to match your target market.
Can I get contrast panels and piping?
Yes. Color-block panels and side piping are common. They use extra fabric and sewing, so cost rises by style. We create a mockup showing panel placement and request your approval before sampling.
Do you do kids tracksuits?
We can scale patterns for youth sizes. Safety rules in some markets limit drawcords near the neck, so we can use flat elastic or sewn-in cords on request. Minimums are the same.
