Sparkle with a plan behind it
A rhinestone design starts with a stone map. Each crystal is placed in a template, then the template is heat pressed onto the shirt, which transfers all stones at once into their exact positions. That precision is why a 400-stone design can be repeated 200 times with the same result.
Stone choice affects both look and feel. Standard hotfix stones in 2 to 6 mm sizes cover most designs, with smaller stones for outlines and larger ones for accents. Glass crystals give the strongest shine, while acrylic is lighter and less costly. We provide samples so you can compare sparkle and weight.
The blank also matters. We recommend 180 to 220 GSM cotton or cotton-elastane jersey, because the fabric must support the stones without sagging. Dense areas of crystal add real weight, so we often suggest moderate coverage on lighter shirts, or a heavier fabric for large layouts.

We use hotfix stones with a strong adhesive backing and a consistent cut. Glass-based crystals give the sharpest sparkle, and acrylic options are available for lighter designs.
Precise stone placement
Pre-built transfer sheets lock in spacing and layout. That means every shirt in the batch carries the same design without stones drifting out of position or overlapping.
Controlled heat application
Pressure, time and temperature are set for the stone and fabric combination. Correct application bonds the adhesive properly, and reduces the risk of stones lifting after washing.
Mixed media friendly
Rhinestones combine well with print, embroidery or flock. A printed base with crystal highlights gives depth and lets you limit the number of stones, which controls weight and cost.

Stone size and spacing
Sizes from SS6 to SS30 are common. Smaller stones suit fine outlines and text, while larger stones make bold focal points. We keep spacing tight enough to read as a solid shape but not so tight that stones crowd.
Colour and finish
Clear, AB iridescent, black diamond and coloured stones are all available, with metallic or flat-back variants. We provide a colour chart and a physical sample so you can see how each catches light.
Combining with print
A printed graphic with crystal highlights is lighter and less costly than a full stone design. We often print the artwork, then add stones at key points such as eyes, outlines or letter edges.
Placement and size
Chest and back placements are the most common, though sleeves and shoulders also work. We recommend staying clear of seams and the neck rib, where stones can irritate or loosen under stress.

Care & durability
Turn the shirt inside out, wash on a gentle cycle in cold water, and avoid fabric softener. Hang dry, because dryer tumbling can loosen stones. Do not iron over crystals.
Correctly applied hotfix stones are durable, but they are decorative and benefit from gentle care. Expect them to hold up through regular wear, with care instructions supplied for your customers.

How many stones can go on one shirt?
Hundreds are common, and some designs use over a thousand. More stones add weight and cost, so we balance coverage against fabric weight. Send your design and we will estimate stone counts and recommend a suitable blank.
Will the stones fall off in the wash?
Properly applied stones are secure, but gentle care helps. Inside-out cold washing and air drying are best. We heat press with correct temperature and pressure, and can run wash tests on samples to confirm adhesion.
What stone types do you offer?
Hotfix glass crystals, acrylic stones and metal studs are available in various sizes and colours. Glass gives more sparkle, and acrylic is lighter and cheaper. We send physical samples so you can choose before committing.
Can you reproduce a custom logo in crystals?
Yes. We convert your logo into a stone map, adjusting size and spacing to suit the stone sizes. Very fine detail may need simplifying, and we show a mockup so you can approve the layout before production.
Do rhinestone shirts need special packaging?
We fold them with a protective layer to avoid stone-to-stone snagging, then polybag individually. If you need retail-ready packaging or hang tags, tell us in your inquiry so we can plan it into the order.
