Structured Six-Panel Caps Built to Hold Their Shape
Caps are the most requested accessory we make. We build structured 6-panel caps, unstructured dad caps, 5-panel camper caps and mesh-back truckers, with 3D puff embroidery, flat embroidery, rubber patches or woven labels on the front. Buckram, sweatband and closure choices are yours. Minimum order is 50 pieces.
- Structured six-panel front buckram
- 3D and flat embroidery
- Snapback, strapback and fitted
- Mesh trucker and dad options
The difference between a cap people wear and one they drop is the crown
A structured cap uses a stiff buckram or a fused polyester interlining behind the front two panels so the crown stands upright. Unstructured dad caps leave that out, creating a softer, lower look. Five-panel caps remove the center seam and give a flatter front for large graphics. Each of these is a different pattern, so we confirm which silhouette you want before sampling.
Fabrics are typically 280 to 340 GSM brushed cotton twill, chosen for stable stitching and long-lasting color. For performance caps we use 130 to 160 GSM polyester with laser-cut vents. Trucker versions combine a cotton or polyester front with a polyester mesh back, which is cooler and lightweight in summer.
Closures change how a cap looks and sells. Plastic snapbacks suit streetwear, brass slides with a leather or cotton strap suit premium lines, and elastic fitted backs suit sports teams and young buyers. The sweatband can be plain cotton, printed with your brand, or taped with custom jacquard so the inside matches the outside.

What goes into a BERMGOODS cap
Crown structure choices
Buckram, double-layer interlining or fused foam fronts let us dial in how upright the crown stands. We match the structure to your product positioning and test it for crush recovery.
Visor shape
Pre-curved, flat or slightly curved visors each change the face of the cap. We offer stiff plastic insert visors, plus fabric-covered undervisors in contrast colors for premium styles.
Eyelets and ventilation
Embroidered or metal eyelets give airflow without a mesh panel. Tone-on-tone or contrast eyelets add a brand detail, and we can add hidden vent holes under the crown for sport use.
Closure and trim options
Snapbacks, strapbacks with metal buckles, hook and loop, elastic fitted and cord adjusters are all available. Leather straps can be debossed with your logo, which turns a hardware choice into a branded detail.
Cap decoration that stays sharp

3D puff embroidery
A foam layer raises the logo off the cap front, which is the classic streetwear and sportswear look. Letters need to be at least 6 mm tall and strokes at least 2 mm wide, so the foam does not distort. We digitize in-house.
Flat embroidery
Flat satin and fill stitches suit finer detail, small text and multi-color marks. We use a tear-away or cut-away stabilizer, and run each logo on the cap frame with the crown curved, so alignment is true to the finished piece.
Rubber and woven patches
Silicone rubber patches add depth and are waterproof, while woven patches hold fine text and gradients. Both are sewn or heat-applied to the front panel, and edges are sealed to prevent lifting.
Side, back and under-visor graphics
Beyond the front, we can embroider the side panel, back strap area or underside of the visor with a secondary logo, website or city name. These small details help drops feel designed rather than blank-plus-logo.
Who orders this
Caps are a staple for brands and teams alike. Streetwear labels use them as an entry-level product, clubs and schools issue them as part of team kit, and corporate buyers order them for events and uniforms because a cap fits almost everyone and travels well.
- Streetwear brands with a core headwear range
- Sports clubs selling fan and training caps
- Corporate buyers equipping staff and event crews
- Printers and decorators sourcing blanks and finished caps
- Schools and colleges ordering branded merchandise for alumni
Care & durability
Wipe caps with a damp cloth or hand wash in cool water, then air dry on a rounded form to protect the crown. Do not machine wash a structured cap, since the buckram can warp and soften. Avoid tumble drying or direct heat.
Embroidery is stitched through the front panel and backing, so it resists fraying and color loss. Visors use a double-layer insert that resists bending, and sweatbands are stitched flat, so they do not roll with wear.
Cap questions answered
Straight answers to the questions buyers ask us most. Anything missing? Send an inquiry and we will reply within one business day.
What is the difference between structured and unstructured?
A structured cap stands upright thanks to an interlining behind the front panels. An unstructured cap collapses softly and sits lower. Structured caps suit sports and streetwear, while unstructured suit casual and vintage looks. We sample both so you can compare.
How many colors can the embroidery use?
Embroidery can use up to 12 thread colors on a cap, though simple logos usually use one to four. Each color adds a small cost and setup time. Gradients are replicated with blended stitches, or we can use a woven patch.
Can the visor have a different color underneath?
Yes. A green or black undervisor on a neutral cap is a common brand detail. It needs a separate fabric cut and sewn into the visor, which adds a small cost. We confirm the color match with a swatch.
Do you make fitted sizes?
We can produce fitted caps in sized increments, but each size is a separate run, so minimums apply per size. Most clients start with adjustable closures, then add a fitted version once they know their size demand.
How do you prevent embroidery from puckering?
We digitize for the curved crown, use the right stabilizer, and keep stitch density controlled. On twill, we run a test on spare fabric. Puckering usually signals too dense a design, which we adjust before bulk.
