Lightweight Windbreakers for Teams, Clubs and Brands
A windbreaker should weigh almost nothing and still stop a stiff breeze. We make ours from 20D to 40D nylon or polyester, either unlined or with a mesh or tricot lining, in half-zip anorak, full-zip and color-block cuts. They take sublimation, heat transfer and screen print well. Minimum order is 50 pieces.

Light fabric, tight weave, and honest construction
The core of a windbreaker is a tightly woven thin fabric. Nylon taffeta at 20D to 30D weighs about 50 to 80 GSM and packs into a pocket. Polyester pongee at 30D to 40D is a little heavier at 70 to 110 GSM, holds color well and is more economical. Most shells get a DWR finish so light rain beads and rolls off, though they are not waterproof.
Lining controls feel and warmth. Unlined jackets are lightest and cheapest. Mesh lining adds airflow and prevents sticking to skin in summer, while tricot or brushed polyester gives a touch more warmth. Quilted linings can be added for early autumn. Tricot also helps reduce rustling, which is a common complaint about thin shells.
Cuts include classic full-zip jackets, half-zip anoraks with a kangaroo pocket, and color-block retro styles that suit 90s-inspired lines. Hems can have drawcords or elastic, hoods can be fixed or stowed in the collar, and cuffs can be elastic or hook-and-loop. We recommend a fit sample for checking length and sleeve proportions before bulk. Zip choice also matters: a number 5 coil zip keeps weight down, while a reversed zip with a chin guard prevents rubbing on the neck during long runs or rides.

Tight-weave wind blocking
A dense weave reduces air passing through and cuts wind chill. We test fabrics for air permeability, so the jacket blocks breeze without trapping sweat.
Color-block possibilities
Panels in contrasting colors make the retro windbreaker look. Piecing needs accurate patterning and thread matching, and we provide a color-block mockup for approval. We also match zipper tape and piping to the panel colors so the jacket looks cohesive.
Stowable design
A pocket that turns into a stuff-sack, or a hood that rolls into the collar, makes the jacket easy to carry. We test these features for usability.

Nylon needs specialized, flexible inks, but a screen print gives crisp chest and back logos. We test adhesion and cure to avoid cracking.
Heat transfer logos
Heat-applied logos suit small chest marks and sleeve details. They are thin and flexible, which keeps the jacket light and packable.
Embroidery on light fabric
Embroidery on thin shell needs a stabilizer and low density to prevent puckering. We recommend small marks for best results, and test before bulk.

Care & durability
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, and hang to dry. Avoid heat, which can damage coating and prints. Do not use fabric softener or bleach. Windbreakers dry quickly and rarely need ironing.
Thin fabrics are reinforced at stress points, with bar tacks on pockets and zips. Seams are double stitched, and color is tested for rub and wash fastness.
Because the fabric is so thin, we avoid heavy rubber or thick patches on windbreakers and recommend flat, flexible decoration. Spare buttons, zip pullers and labels can be supplied with each carton for easy repairs by your team.

Is a windbreaker waterproof?
No. It is wind-resistant and water-repellent, meaning light rain beads off, but heavy rain will soak through. For waterproof protection, see our rain jackets.
Can windbreakers be fully sublimated?
Yes, polyester windbreakers can. Nylon does not accept sublimation well. We recommend polyester for all-over prints, and nylon for solid colors with logos.
What lining should I choose?
Unlined is lightest. Mesh lining breathes and is good for warm weather. Tricot is smoother and slightly warmer. We provide swatches and samples.
How packable can it be?
A 20D nylon windbreaker can fold into a small pouch or pocket, about the size of a fist. Polyester styles pack less tightly. We design stowable options on request. Fabric weight, lining and hood choice all change the packed size, so we measure it on the sample and report the dimensions to you.
Can I get reflective details?
Yes. Reflective piping and prints add safety for night runs or crews. They are heat-applied or sewn into seams, and tested for wash durability.
