Custom Ski and Snowboard Jackets

Snow Jackets Rated for Waterproofing, Warmth and Movement

Mountain wear has to survive snow, wind and long days. We build ski and snowboard jackets with 10,000 to 20,000 mm waterproof shells, fully taped seams, 80 to 150 g insulation, powder skirts, helmet-compatible hoods and pit zips. Shell-only and insulated styles are available. Minimum order is 50 pieces.

Overview

Snow jackets are technical garments before they are fashion

A ski jacket is judged by its ratings: waterproofing in millimeters of water column, breathability in grams per square meter per day, and insulation in grams of fill. We offer 10,000 mm and 10,000 g for resort use, and 15,000 to 20,000 mm and 15,000 g for backcountry and wet-snow regions. Shell fabrics are 2-layer or 3-layer polyester with PU or TPU membranes.

Insulated versions have 80 to 150 g polyester fill in the body and 60 to 100 g in the sleeves, which keeps arm movement free. Shell-only jackets rely on layering. Lining is a mesh or tricot, with a fleece-lined collar and hand pockets for comfort. Seams are fully heat taped, and zips are water-resistant or PU-coated, with storm flaps over them.

Mountain features include a powder skirt that snaps around the waist, wrist gaiters with thumb holes, a ski pass pocket on the sleeve, pit zips for venting, a goggle pocket and a helmet-compatible adjustable hood. We can add hem drawcords, detachable hoods and RECCO-style reflectors if you need them. We test samples for waterproof and zip performance before bulk.

Mountain features worth specifying

Insulation and zoning

Body fill is heavier than sleeve fill to keep warmth around the core while preserving mobility. We select fill by climate zone, and can add heat-reflective lining for extreme cold.

Taped seams and sealed zips

Every seam is heat taped, and zips are PU-coated or covered with storm flaps. Cuffs and hems are sealed with gaiters and skirts, which block snow from entering at the openings.

Pass and pocket layout

Sleeve pass pockets, goggle pockets, media pockets and internal drop pockets are positioned for use with gloves and layers. Zip pullers are oversized for gloved hands.

Helmet-compatible hoods

Hoods are cut large enough for helmets, with adjusters at the back and sides. A stiffened peak helps shed snow, and a collar can stow the hood when not needed.

Branding snow jackets

Tell us your quantity, colors, decoration and target date. We reply with a quote, a mockup and a sample plan, usually within one working day.

01

Heat transfers and reflective logos

Heat-applied logos keep the membrane intact, and reflective versions add visibility in storms. We test adhesion at low temperatures and after repeated flexing.

02

Rubber patches

Silicone patches on the chest, sleeve or hood give a raised, waterproof brand mark. They are applied by heat or sewn onto non-critical areas with seam sealing over the stitches.

03

Sublimated panels

Polyester shells can be sublimated with all-over patterns or color-blocked panels before cutting. Prints do not alter breathability, and look strong against snow.

04

Embroidery on non-critical panels

Embroidery is possible on collars, sleeves or non-membrane panels. On the main body we avoid piercing the shell, or add seam-sealing tape behind the stitching.

Buyers

Who orders this

Ski and snowboard jackets are ordered by retailers, resorts, instructors and teams. Ski schools and mountain operators need branded jackets for staff, while action sports brands sell them as technical collections. Club and event teams order them for competitions.

  • Resorts outfitting lift and patrol teams
  • Snowboard and action sports brands launching a line
  • Ski clubs and race teams equipping athletes
  • Outdoor retailers developing private-label snowwear
Durability

Care & durability

Close all zips and wash at 30 degrees with a technical detergent. Tumble dry on low to reactivate the water repellent finish. Do not use fabric softener. Rinse thoroughly to prevent buildup that reduces breathability.

Waterproof coatings and tapes are tested after wash cycles, and zips are tested for repeated opening. With proper care, a ski jacket performs for many seasons.

FAQ

Ski jacket questions answered

Straight answers to the questions buyers ask us most. Anything missing? Send an inquiry and we will reply within one business day.

For resort skiing in dry snow, 10,000 mm is enough. For wet or heavy snow, choose 15,000 mm or more. We recommend a rating by market, and can test fabric to confirm.

Resort jackets use 80 to 100 g, while cold-climate jackets use 120 to 150 g. If your customers layer, a shell with no insulation gives flexibility. We can sample different fills.

We can add avalanche rescue reflectors where you supply compliant parts. We position them in a hem or shoulder panel and document placement. Ask us during quoting.

Embroidery pierces the shell and can reduce waterproofing slightly. We use heat transfers or patches on the main body, and embroider only non-critical areas, or add seam sealing.

Yes. Youth jackets use scaled patterns with shorter sleeves and smaller hoods. We can add grow-fit cuffs that extend, helping them last longer.
