What we check, what we promise, and how we fix problems
BERMGOODS stands behind the garments we make. We agree a specification, approve a physical sample, inspect through production and put things right if an order does not match what you signed off. This page explains each commitment in plain terms, including the practical steps to take if you spot an issue.
Our quality promise
Our promise is simple: the bulk order will match the pre-production sample you approved, within normal manufacturing tolerances. If it does not, we investigate and correct it.
We do not promise perfection in subjective matters, because taste varies. We do promise honest inspection, clear records and a fair response when something goes wrong.
How we control quality
Quality control is spread through the process rather than left to a single check at the end. Problems found early cost less and delay less.
Specification lock
Fabric, measurements, colours, labels and decoration are confirmed in writing before the sample is made.
Approved sample
Your signed-off sample is the reference standard for production and for our inspectors.
Cutting checks
Fabric lots are recorded, panels are checked for shade and defects, and cut pieces are counted.
In-line sewing checks
Supervisors check seams, stitch tension, hems and measurements during sewing, not only after it.
Decoration inspection
Prints and embroidery are compared against the sample for registration, density, colour and placement.
Final inspection
Garments are inspected, trimmed, measured on a sample basis and counted before packing.
What the guarantee covers
The guarantee applies to defects in materials, construction and decoration that make a garment differ from the approved sample or from the agreed specification. Typical examples include:
- Stitching that unravels or seams that split under normal wear
- Print or embroidery that is misplaced, misregistered or the wrong colour
- Measurements outside the agreed tolerance for the size
- Wrong quantities, sizes or labels compared with the confirmed order
- Visible fabric flaws that were not present in the approved sample
What it does not cover
Some situations are outside the guarantee, and it is better to say so clearly. We cannot cover damage from misuse, incorrect washing, normal wear and tear, or changes made to a garment after delivery.
We also cannot cover artwork supplied by you that was approved on a mockup and sample but later found to contain an error such as a misspelling. Please proof carefully before you sign off, and ask us to check if you are unsure.
Tolerances and what to expect
All garments are made by people and machines, so small variation is normal. We agree measurements and tolerances during sampling, and we inspect against them. Typical points we measure include chest width, body length, sleeve length, inseam and waistband.
Colour can vary slightly between fabric dye lots and between screens and physical garments. We record fabric lots, compare against the approved sample and flag any visible difference before packing. For colour-critical work, tell us at the start and we will agree a physical colour reference.
Practical ways to protect your order
You can help us protect your order by doing a few simple things before bulk production begins:
- Proof artwork and text carefully, including spelling and numbers
- Check the sample against your size chart, not only by eye
- Wash a sample once to see how fabric and decoration behave
- Confirm label placement, content and care instructions
- Tell us about any retail or testing requirements up front
These steps take little time and prevent the most common disputes.
If something is wrong
If you receive an order and find a problem, act promptly. The sooner we see it, the easier it is to investigate and fix.
Document it
Take clear photos of the issue, the garment label and the packaging, and note the quantity affected.
Contact your manager
Send the photos and your order details to your account manager as soon as you can after delivery.
We investigate
We compare the garments with the approved sample and our inspection records, and we respond with our findings.
We put it right
Where the fault is ours, we repair, remake or arrange an agreed remedy for the affected pieces.
Ethical production
Quality and ethics are linked. A factory that treats its people fairly keeps skilled workers, and skilled workers make consistent garments.
We run an ethical factory with fair conditions, and we welcome customers who want to understand how their orders are made. We do not claim third-party certifications on this page. If you need specific audit documents for your retail partners, ask your account manager what we can provide.
Our on-time commitment
A late delivery can be as damaging as a faulty garment, especially when you have a launch, a tournament or an event. Our target is 100% on-time dispatch, and we plan production backwards from the date you give us.
If a delay becomes likely, we tell you immediately and offer options, which may include partial shipments or an alternative shipping method.
Common questions
Straight answers to the questions buyers ask us most. Anything missing? Send an inquiry and we will reply within one business day.
How soon should I report a problem?
As soon as possible after delivery. Please inspect the order when it arrives and contact your account manager within a reasonable time, with photos. Prompt reports let us compare against production records while they are fresh.
Do you replace or refund faulty garments?
Where the fault is ours, we agree a remedy with you. That may be a repair, a remake of the affected pieces or another fair solution, depending on the issue, the quantity and your deadlines.
Is the sample really the standard?
Yes. Your approved sample is the reference for fabric, fit and decoration. Normal manufacturing tolerances apply, such as small measurement variation, but visible differences from the sample are treated as a quality issue.
Order with confidence
Ask your account manager how sampling and inspection would work for your specific order. We are happy to explain each step before you commit.
