A referee kit has to do something no team kit does: stay visible against every team and every pitch. Colour choice is the core of the design. Many associations use black, yellow, green or bright accents, and often supply a rotation of two or three colours so officials can avoid a clash. We design these colour sets and make each set in the same fabric.
Fabric needs to work for ninety minutes of continuous running. We use lightweight polyester knit and mesh in the 120 to 160 gsm range, with moisture-wicking and good stretch. Shirts have a collar or crew neck, with pockets on the chest for cards and a notebook, and a badge position on the left chest. Shorts have zip pockets for whistles and coins.
Referee programmes also include jackets, trousers, warm-up tops and rain gear for variable conditions. Because officials work in different sports, we make versions for soccer referees, basketball officials, baseball and softball umpires, and rugby and hockey referees. Each follows the colour and layout conventions that your association uses.

Features for officials
Badge and patch areas
The left chest is left clear for a federation or association badge, with a flat, reinforced area so a woven or embroidered badge sits neat. Sleeve areas can carry level or grade marks.
Pockets for cards and tools
Chest pockets sized for cards and notebook sit flat and have a snap or a hook-and-loop closure. Shorts include zip pockets for whistle, coin and a spare watch.
Colour rotation sets
We create sets of two or three colours that contrast with typical team kits. Each is made in matching cut and trim, so the association keeps a consistent look while officials can choose.
Running comfort
Moisture-wicking fabric, flat seams and mesh vents help officials stay cool across a full match. Stretch fabric allows quick sprints, sharp turns and a full arm signal.
Badges, names and options
Send your sport, association colours and quantities. We will return a mockup of the colour rotation and a plan for samples and production.
Association badges
Embroidered or woven badges can be placed on the chest or sleeve. We follow your association's guidance for size and position, and can supply spare badges for replacement.
Names and roles
Some associations add the official's name or role, such as referee, assistant referee or umpire. We place them above the chest pocket or across the back.
Sponsor and league marks
League or competition sponsors can be printed or heat transferred in a position that meets association rules. Layouts are agreed in the mockup before production.
Jackets and training wear
Rain jackets, zip tops and training shirts can be made in matching colours, so officials look consistent from warm-up to full time. They can carry the same badge and name positions.

Care & durability
Polyester knit washes easily in cool water. Turn shirts inside out, hang to dry and avoid high heat. Wash badges inside out, and avoid bleach, which can affect colours and badges.
Reinforced pocket corners, flat seams and colourfast dyes help the kit survive a busy season of matches. Moisture-wicking fabric dries quickly between games.

Why do referees need several colours?
Officials must avoid clashing with teams. Many associations use a rotation of two or three colours, so one is always available. We can produce a full set in matching cuts and trims.
Can you add badges and patches?
Yes. We can embroider or weave association badges, or leave a reinforced area for sewing on later. We position them to your guidance, and supply spares for replacements.
Do you make kits for different sports?
Yes. We can produce soccer, basketball, rugby, hockey, baseball and softball officials' kits. Each follows layout conventions for that sport, and we ask for your association's guidance.
Are pockets included?
Shirts can include chest pockets for cards and notebooks, and shorts can include zip pockets for a whistle and coins. We size pockets for these items and finish them with closures that stay flat.
What is the minimum order for an association?
Our minimum is 50 pieces, and mixed sizes are allowed. Many associations order a starter set for new officials, and add reorders each season as numbers change.
