Small Details That Make Your Garment Look Like a Brand

Customers judge a garment by what is inside the neck as much as what is on the front. We make woven labels, printed care labels, heat transfer neck prints and hang tags that carry your name, sizing and care information. They are sewn or applied in our factory, so every piece ships brand ready.

Overview

Which label does what

Branding labels fall into three families. Woven labels are made on a loom with coloured threads, giving a textured, premium finish. Printed labels carry artwork on satin, cotton or nylon tape and are cheaper and softer. Heat transfer neck labels print directly onto the inside of the garment, removing the tag entirely for comfort.

Each type has a job. Main labels carry your brand and often sit at the neck. Size and care labels show size, fibre content, country of origin and wash symbols, which many markets require by law. Hang tags sit outside the garment and carry your logo, price barcode and brand story. A complete product usually combines two or three of these.

We advise on which combination suits your garment and market. A premium hoodie may use a woven main label, a small printed care label and a hang tag. A performance tee may use only a heat transfer neck print for a tagless feel. You supply artwork and legal wording, and we handle the production and sewing.

Best for

Choosing the right label

Woven labels for premium garments

Damask woven labels use fine threads and sharp detail, ideal for brand logos on hoodies, jackets and denim. They signal quality and survive washing well, though very small text can blur at low thread counts.

Printed labels for softer, lower cost

Satin and cotton tape labels print crisp small text, including size and care details. They suit tees and base layers and cost less than woven. Edges can be cut, folded or ultrasonically sealed.

Heat transfer neck prints

A printed label applied directly inside the collar removes scratchy tags, ideal for activewear, kids' clothing and sensitive skin. It holds sizing, brand and care information in one clean print.

Hang tags for retail presentation

Paper or card tags carry barcodes, price, story and size. Choose cotton string, metal pins or plastic fasteners. Tags are cheap to update, so seasonal changes do not require reproducing garments.

Built in

What we handle for you

Artwork and sizing help

We prepare label artwork, advise on thread counts and minimum text size, and supply a digital proof so the small details are correct before production begins.

Folds and cuts to suit

End-fold, centre-fold, loop and straight-cut options are available. Each suits a different placement and comfort level, and we recommend one based on the garment.

Applied in our factory

Labels are sewn or heat applied during production, in the correct position and orientation, so your garments arrive finished instead of needing relabelling at your end.

Size ranges and variants

We can produce separate labels for each size or print size marks on a common tag. Multiple languages and fibre contents can be handled with care label sets.

Options

Label and tag options

Tell us the label types, quantities and garments. We will propose a combination, prepare a proof and quote labels with or without garment sewing.

01

Woven label types

Damask is the finest, with high thread density for detail. Taffeta is flatter and more economical. Satin finishes give a smooth look. Choose thread colours to match brand references.

02

Printed label materials

Satin, cotton twill and polyester tapes are common. Black on white and white on black give the best contrast for small care text. Soft edges prevent neck irritation.

03

Heat transfer neck prints

Applied by heat press, in one or several colours. Prints must suit the fabric, so we test on your blank. They are not suitable for every garment, such as very textured fleece.

04

Hang tag finishes

Choose card weights, matte or gloss lamination, die-cut shapes, hole punches and fasteners. Add barcode, QR codes and foil highlights for retail-ready presentation.

Compare

Label type versus label type

Choose woven for brand identity and durability, printed for cost-effective care and size information, and heat transfer for comfort and speed. Many brands pair a woven main label with a printed care label so the logo feels premium while compliance text stays clear.

Hang tags are not a replacement for sewn labels, since they are removed by customers. Care information normally needs to stay with the garment. If you are not sure what your target market requires, we can help you plan layouts, but confirm legal wording with your own compliance adviser.

Buyers

Who orders this

Branding details matter most to buyers moving from blanks to a recognised label. Even a simple woven tag changes how customers perceive the garment and justifies a higher price point.

  • Clothing startups launching their first retail collection
  • Print shops adding value to resold garments
  • Private label buyers rebranding sourced blanks
  • Sports brands wanting tagless comfort in activewear
  • Wholesalers needing consistent labels across styles
Durability

Care & durability

Woven and printed labels are tested to survive normal home washing, and sewn labels are stitched securely at the seams. Follow the care instructions you place on the label to avoid fading.

Heat transfer prints should be washed inside out and not ironed directly. Hang tags are for presentation and are not designed to go through the wash.

FAQ

Label and tag questions answered

Straight answers to the questions buyers ask us most. Anything missing? Send an inquiry and we will reply within one business day.

Minimums depend on label type, with printed and heat transfer options being the most flexible. Woven labels usually need larger quantities because of loom setup. Tell us your garment count and we will give a clear minimum.

Yes. We attach labels during production, in your specified position, so garments arrive ready to sell. If you prefer to supply your own labels, we can also sew those in on request.

Typically size, fibre content, wash instructions and country of origin, though requirements vary by market. We lay out the label from your wording, but you are responsible for confirming that content meets local regulations.

Yes, through heat transfer printing inside the collar. This suits tees, hoodies and activewear. We test adhesion on your fabric first, since textured or stretchy materials can affect durability.

Printed labels and hang tags are faster, while woven labels take longer due to loom setup. We plan label lead time alongside your garment order so everything arrives together within the 10 to 15 working day bulk window where possible.
