We specify zippers by gauge and material. Heavy hoodies use a number 5 or number 8 metal zip with a locking slider, while lighter styles use a nylon coil that is quieter and more flexible. Zips are sewn into a taped, reinforced placket so the fabric does not ripple or tear at the base.
Weight and fit options range from a 330 GSM everyday fleece to a 420 GSM heavyweight with a boxy cut. Pockets are either kangaroo or vertical side-entry, and many buyers add a hood drawcord with metal tips or flat tape. Because the front is split, we plan decoration placement carefully, avoiding the zip line.

Reinforced front tape
Inner tape and double-needle stitching keep the placket flat and stop the zipper edge from waving. It also spreads load, so the fabric stays intact after thousands of zips.
Custom pullers and trims
Rubber, metal or leather-effect pullers carry your logo, and matched drawcord tips and eyelets finish the look. Small hardware details help a hoodie feel like your own product.
Straight-hanging fronts
Panels are cut and matched so the fronts meet evenly and the hem aligns when closed. Pattern checks include the zip at both ends, not just the middle.

Care & durability

Can I get custom zipper pullers?
Yes. Rubber, metal or woven pullers with your logo are possible. Custom moulds carry set-up cost and higher minimums than standard pullers, so we quote both options so you can weigh the extra branding value.
Where should branding go on a zip hoodie?
The left chest and the upper back are the main spots. Sleeves and the hood add secondary positions. Avoid the zip line and pocket seams. We show placement on a mockup before artwork is finalised.
Do you offer two-way or half-zip styles?
We can build two-way zips on longer styles and quarter or half zips on pullover-style sweats. Fabric, length and hardware need to match, so ask your account manager to scope the style before sampling.
What pocket options are available?
Kangaroo pockets suit casual styles. Vertical side pockets with a zip or welt suit sporty and workwear looks. Hidden inner pockets for phones are possible too, though they add sewing time and cost.
