Knit Beanies That Carry Your Logo Through Winter
A beanie is often the first piece a new brand sells and the last one a customer throws away. At BERMGOODS we knit and finish cuffed, slouch and fisherman styles in acrylic, merino blend and cotton yarns, then decorate them with woven labels, embroidery or full jacquard. Orders start at 50 pieces.
- Acrylic, merino and cotton yarns
- Jacquard, embroidery or woven label
- Cuffed, slouch and short-roll shapes
- Low minimum of 50 pieces
Knit construction decides how your beanie looks on the shelf and on the head
Most beanies we produce are made on 7 gauge or 12 gauge flat knitting machines. A 7 gauge rib is chunky and holds a crisp cuff, which suits streetwear and outdoor brands. A 12 gauge knit is finer, drapes closer to the head and gives embroidery a cleaner surface to sit on.
Yarn choice is the biggest cost and comfort lever. Acrylic is the standard for promotional and mid-market lines because it keeps color well, resists shrinking and is easy to wash. Merino blends, usually 30 to 50 percent wool with acrylic or nylon, feel softer and regulate heat better for premium collections. Cotton and cotton-acrylic blends work for transitional seasons and for buyers who avoid wool.
We usually recommend a 2×2 rib body with a plain or double-layer crown, because it stretches to fit a wide head range and keeps its shape after repeated washing. Pom poms, fold-over cuffs, drawcords and woven side labels can all be added. We send a knitted swatch or a pre-production sample before bulk, so you see real stitch density and color, not a screen render.

What goes into a BERMGOODS beanie
Gauge and rib options
We knit 7 and 12 gauge bodies in 1×1 or 2×2 rib, plus waffle and cable textures. Each gives a different cuff height and stretch recovery, so we match gauge to your brand position and price point.
Lined and unlined builds
Single-layer beanies suit spring and autumn. For colder markets we add a double-knit crown or a fleece liner sewn at the cuff, which adds warmth without a stiff, bulky feel against the forehead.
Pantone-matched yarn
Yarn is dyed to your Pantone references and checked against a lab dip before knitting starts. Two or three colors can be combined in stripes or jacquard patterns without raising the minimum.
Finished edges and trims
Linking at the crown removes the bulky seam that irritates sensitive skin. Cuffs can carry a sewn woven label, a leather patch or a rubberized tag, positioned and stitched flat for clean photography.
Ways to put your brand on a beanie
Tell us your quantity, colors, decoration and target date. We reply with a quote, a mockup and a sample plan, usually within one working day.
Embroidered logos
Flat embroidery on the cuff is the most common choice. We use a stabilizer behind the knit to stop puckering, and keep stitch counts under about 6,000 so the cuff stays flexible and the logo stays sharp after washing.
Jacquard knit-in designs
The logo or pattern is knitted straight into the fabric using two or more yarn colors. It cannot peel or fade, which is why sports clubs and festival merchandise buyers favor it. Artwork needs to be simple, with minimum line width of about 2 mm.
Woven labels and patches
A woven damask label sewn on the cuff gives a retail-ready look at low unit cost. For a heavier feel we can attach leather, PU or rubber patches, either stitched or heat-bonded depending on the knit.
Custom hang-tags and packaging
Beanies sell well in boxed sets and retail displays. We can add printed hang-tags, size stickers, barcodes and branded polybags so the product arrives ready to shelve, without a second packing stage on your side.
Who orders this
Brands launching a first winter drop, outdoor and ski retailers, and organizations that need a warm giveaway all choose beanies for the same reasons: small footprint, low freight cost and a surface that photographs well. Typical orders run from 50 to several thousand pieces per color.
- Streetwear brands adding a low-risk accessory
- Ski resorts and outdoor shops stocking branded headwear
- Sports clubs selling supporter merchandise at matches
- Corporate teams ordering winter staff gifts
- Event organizers needing festival merchandise in volume
Care & durability
Acrylic and acrylic-blend beanies can be machine washed cold on a gentle cycle and laid flat to dry. Avoid tumble drying on high heat, which can loosen the rib and make the cuff roll unevenly. Merino blends should be washed inside a mesh bag with a wool-safe detergent.
Knitted logos and embroidered cuffs are tested for color rub before dispatch. With normal care a beanie keeps its shape and color through a full winter of regular wear and dozens of washes.
Beanie questions we hear most
Straight answers to the questions buyers ask us most. Anything missing? Send an inquiry and we will reply within one business day.
Can you match the shade of my existing beanie?
Yes. Send us the garment, a Pantone code or a color swatch and we run a lab dip on the chosen yarn. You approve the dip before knitting begins. Slight variation between yarn types is normal, so we confirm acrylic and wool dye results separately.
How small can a jacquard logo be?
We recommend a minimum line width of 2 mm and a maximum of three colors across the artwork. Fine text smaller than about 8 mm tall tends to blur in knit. We review your file during the free mockup stage and suggest simplifications where needed.
Is the cuff height adjustable?
Yes. Standard cuffed beanies fold to about 8 cm, but we can knit a longer body for a deeper fold or a shorter one for a close-fitting fisherman look. Tell us the finished height you want and we will confirm it on the sample.
Will a beanie fit both adults and kids?
The standard unisex size stretches across most adult heads. Kids need a smaller circumference, so we knit a separate youth pattern rather than shrinking the adult one. Sample both if you plan to sell family sets.
What is the cheapest way to get a decorated beanie?
A woven label or small flat embroidery on a 100% acrylic 12 gauge body keeps cost down. Jacquard has higher setup but lower unit cost at volume. We quote both options side by side so you can compare.
